had a wonderful weekend with colleagues in the amazing surrounds of the Twizzell Estate and Northumbrian Coast. We camped out, Coasteared, prepared game for supper (cooked both on the fire and in a traditional 'Hangi' underground oven), learnt how to start a fire using friction, threw axes and zipwired! Dan was a fantastic host, an absolute mine of knowledge on bushcraft and survival. Would thoroughly recommend as a team building weekend or just for pleasure with family and friends. 10/10!

Had a great time rock climbing with my 10-year old daughter. We were well looked after by Dan throughout, and had a fun and enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend Northern Outdoor, and wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

My family and I tried the aerial activities and had the best day tree climbing, river crossing on tightropes and zooming through the woods on a zip wire. What an amazing place! My daughter (9yrs) and I had a phenomenal experience with Dan on the tree climbs, river crossing and zip wire. He was an exceedingly competent guide for a lot of confidence building and unique fun in a totally magical setting. Just brilliant. We’ll be back.

Dan arranged an afternoon of activities for a group of young rugby players and their coaches. From initial enquiry to the actual day, Dan was helpful, accommodating and communication was great. The kids (and adults) all had a fabulous time at the new facilities at Twizell Estate. Highly recommended

We went on Easter Saturday with our 2 grandsons and they both had a fantastic time. Both over came their fear of heights and managed with Dan's expert advice to reach the top of the tree climb. Thank you so much we will be back

Our family of 4 had a great time on the half day experience. Dan and Robbo made the whole experience fun and informative. We did archery, Axe throwing, tree climbing, river cross and zip wire. All out our own pace with the expert guidance from the team. 100% recommend

We hired Dan for an amazing outdoor / bushcraft / survival weekend for our husbands yearly get together. It was the best pressie they had ever had. A weekend of adventure with the best of friends and an extremely competent and relaxed guide. What didn’t they do. They camped, kayaked, wood whittled spears, learnt to forage, enjoyed natures swims and building shelters. Already booked again for round two with a whole new set of activities on the cards. Dan took us out on the river one day in kayaks. We all pretended to be Viking’s invading. It was so cool. And it was a brilliant way to spot wildlife etc. We also went coast steering with Dan which I loved. We all really pushed our limits and became more confident in the water because of it. Dan is so patient and caring and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back and climb again too.

My entire family has been led by Dan and his team on several events and experiences. They never fail to deliver the best times with a highly professional approach. Always teaching the basics and rationale … and always focused on safety. Highly (highly) recommended.
